One of Eric's pots was accepted for the fundraising sale for the Poudre Canyon Volunteer Fire Department in Colorado. Charcoal from the recent wild fires was sent to artists around the country to be used in the making of art to be auctioned off to support this group....see Ashes to Art Project for more info.
This covered jar (6") is high-fired stoneware, then saggar fired with wildfire charcoal, Colorado horse hair and salt. It recently was featured in a Ft. Collins Channel 9 News story about the event.
Just an update....this pot sold for $155, all going to the PCVFD.
